I came across this photograph in looking up digital photographers and photography, and had to find out its origins.

I found it at the web site www.SandroPhoto.com, for the photographer Sandro. There are a lot of really stunning pieces there, so I encourage you all to hop over and take a look around there.

This particular picture is just so provocative to me. It is daring and challenging, fatalistic but not hopeless. It is like you are about to be invited to a game of three bullet Russian Roulette that you are absolutely sure you are going to win.

And I believe it, when I look at this photo. I believe that I will win … and that I will then want to play again and again.

I have to admit that at first I was a little taken back by Guy Bourdin’s photography.  While I did not want to be because I know that it is all fashion photography, I could not help but really be taken back by it, but after exploring a little bit more, I realized that he is a shocker photographer.  He is in it for the shock and some of his ads honestly come out incredible!

While in almost every single one of his pictures, a woman is naked, they are usually doing something different and unique.  For example, he has a picture that has a woman face down, naked with a stream of blood coming out of her mouth.  While that might be a little morbid, it is also extremely beautiful.

So if you want shocking and art, you should definitely take a look at Guy Bourdin, he’s totally fashion and totally art – incredible all over the place!

One photographer that I know is going to go places is Sarah Charlesworth, she is definitely someone that I would absolutely love to meet and when you take in the picture above, I swear that this chick really has some talent!  Not only can she make something as a flower seem so freakin’ complex, but she can bring it to life right in front of you and really make you think about it!

That is exactly what this picture did for me!  It really made me think about it and that is what I believe a great picture should do to you.  Not only is Sarah Charlesworth one of the best female photographers in the world, but I definitely think that she is thee best female photographer in the world.

So check her out some more and you will see that her work really is incredible and her pictures are definitely worth a second glance!
